SAN BENEDETTO Only the official announcement is missing, but Samb has reached an agreement with Tau Altopascio defender Alessio Zini. The rossoblù club has secured a player who had several requests in Serie D and who has accumulated a lot of experience in the top national amateur championship. Twenty-six years old, from Livorno, Zini grew up as a footballer in the youth teams of Empoli and then wore the shirts, always in Serie D, of Imolese, Montevarchi, Follonica Gavorrano, San Donato and from December 2022 in Tau Altopascio. In this last Tuscan club, in the last season, he collected a total of – between the championship, playoffs and Coppa Italia – 29 appearances and scored three goals. Samb had already had the Tuscan defender in its sights for a few weeks and in the last few hours it has found an agreement with the player and his entourage. Zini has the characteristics of a central defender, but when necessary he can act as a defensive left winger but also as a defensive midfielder. The twenty-six year old player from Livorno will therefore reinforce the defence that currently sees the reconfirmed Pezzola and Gennari, hired from Nardò, as central defenders. The departures of Sirri and Sbardella could make the sporting director De Angelis decide to include another central defender in the team, who could also be an under.
The other negotiations
Zini’s announcement should arrive on Monday 1 July when the new sports season begins. Together with the Tuscan defender, there should be announcements on the definition of other negotiations including those of the midfielder Guadalupi and the young players Milone, Lanza and Tataranni. Another objective that the rossoblù club would like to achieve is that relating to the Ancona striker, Federico Moretti. A piece that would further embellish a department, the offensive one, which sees the presence of two top players like Sbaffo and Kerjota and excellent players like Baldassi, Battista and Lonardo. It is precisely in the advanced department that the fates of Fabbrini and Senigagliesi need to be assessed. The former still has one year left on his contract with Samb. If he manages to find a club that satisfies him, the Tuscan playmaker will leave San Benedetto. Otherwise he will remain in Palladini’s team. As far as Senigagliesi is concerned, his fate has changed in recent days. From sure starter to possible reconfirmed even if the competition, in the advanced department, is absolutely not lacking. But the former Recanatese player could also carve out a role as a midfielder, as happened last season. In midfield it is not excluded that we could call on another piece of experience. There has been talk of a poll for Gabriele Carannante of Pistoiese, but Ravenna would be ahead. The signing of the Trastevere goalkeeper, Emanuele Semprini, is nearing completion.
Municipality-Samb
In the meantime, today the mayor Antonio Spazzafumo is expected to meet the technicians of the municipal offices of Urban Planning, Sports and Public Works, to take stock of the situation on the redevelopment project of the Ciarrocchi field presented by Samb last March. Spazzafumo will inform President Massi about what the results of the discussion will be and it is not excluded that there could be a further meeting between the two next week to provide updates on the various issues that are on the table between the Municipality and Samb. Among others, there is also the matter relating to the request for use, by the rossoblù club, of the office premises in the Riviera delle Palme as the new registered office.
