At the Civic Museums of Velletri the Gotti exhibition and an event with the Orchestra del Paese Immobile

The Civic Museums of Velletri will host the inauguration of Sergio Gotti’s exhibition on 7 and 8 June and an evening event organized by the Orchestra del Paese Immobile.

The synergy between the arts and history will accompany the public in search of the invisible in the spaces of the Archaeological Museum and the archaeological area of ​​the SS. Stigmata where there are, layer by layer, evidence of civilizations of which time has left traces.

There will be two opportunities aimed at strengthening the interaction between the museum reality and those of the territory that deal with the involvement of citizens through culture.

Friday 7 June – EXHIBITION The search for the invisible by Sergio Gotti

The Veliterno master Sergio Gotti returns to exhibit his works with one personal exhibition which will be inaugurated Friday 7 June at 4.00 pm at the “O.Nardini” Archaeological Museum and, subsequently, at‘Archaeological area of ​​the SS. Stigmata.

Open to visitors from 7 June to 7 July 2024 at the two museum structures during normal opening hours, it takes the same title as the exhibition hosted last year from 6 May to 2 July: The search for the invisible but it is enriched with new cardboard sculptures set up in the various rooms to continue with the same path that makes the public question, through art, on themes such as the passage of time, the boundary between reality and imagination, the power of freedom, the relationship between man and nature and many others.

After the institutional greetings, the presentation of the works and their relationship with the archaeological finds will be discussed by the museum director Raffaella Silvestri in dialogue with the artist.

Free guided tours will then be held for visitors present in the two exhibition locations until closing at 8.00 pm.

Saturday 8 JuneEVENT There is an invisible city of the Immobile Country Orchestra

The history of the territory narrated in the rooms of the Civic Museums, the light and imaginative sculptures of Sergio Gotti, the music that meets the dialect in the songs of the Orchestra del Paese Immobile, the short documentary by Nam Ramellini which shows the life of the city between visible and invisible come together in a single event that will take place between Via di San Francesco (Carmaccia area), the archaeological area of ​​the SS. Stigmata and the “O.Nardini” Archaeological Museum.

For the occasion, the Museums will be open from 5pm to midnight and will offer activities that will precede and follow the live concert of the Orchestra del Paese Immobile:

7.00 PM: On the trail of the Invisible. Itinerary in the historic center from the Archaeological Museum “O. Nardini” at the archaeological area of ​​the SS. Stigmata
