There are 54,963 (for the European elections) and 55,883 (for the administrative elections) the Carpi residents called to the polls for the electoral round on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, a slight increase compared to 2022. The difference between the two groups of eligible voters is due to the Aire citizens of the EU who have chosen to vote in their own country (therefore only for the European elections). As always, the majority are women: 28,791 against 27,092 men at the municipal elections, 28,345 females and 26,618 males at the European elections. A thousand “new” voters (newly of age). follows

There are 74 electoral sections, including that of the “Ramazzini”, which also acts as a “special hospital section” to collect the votes of voters who cannot get out of bed in the wards. Three sections (nos. 15, 16 and 17) change location, for another four the move that has already occurred is confirmed (nos. 3, 62, 12, 13). 447 citizens will be at the polls (298 scrutineers, 75 presidents and 74 secretaries), to which will be added a hundred municipal and Union employees in total on duty, on a rotation basis, for the related activities on the two voting days and on the on Monday 10 June, when the counting for the administrative elections is scheduled (from 3pm) (the counting for the European Parliament will begin on Sunday evening, as soon as the polls close). Voting will be held on Saturday 8th from 3pm to 11pm, Sunday 9th from 7am :00 to 23:00. The Municipality renews its recommendation to check the electoral card these days: in the event of loss or running out of spaces or update of the residence within the Municipality, just go in person (no appointment required) to collect the new one from the electoral office, without waiting the days of the vote and thus avoiding waiting.
