They had become protagonists of the New Year’s Eve brawl in Piazza della Vittoria with an injured man hit by a knife. Identified by the Carabinieri and the Police, the Police Chief of Brescia ordered “Daspo Willy” for 11 young people between the ages of 18 and 24 with a duration of two to three years.
For them, therefore, a ban on access and parking from all public businesses in that square and those in the surrounding streets in the time slot from 5pm to 6am the following day.

With these 11 measures, the number of “Daspo Willy” issued by the Police Commissioner of Brescia since the beginning of the year rises to 47.
THE “DASPO WILLY”
The “Daspo Willy” – we remind you – is a prevention measure under the jurisdiction of the Police Commissioner in his capacity as Provincial Public Safety Authority, which falls into the category of “bans on access to urban areas”.
The decree provides that, with respect to persons reported in the last 3 years for crimes committed during serious disturbances in public establishments or in places of public entertainment or in the immediate vicinity of the same, and when the conduct may result in a danger to safety, the Police Commissioner can prohibit them from accessing these areas.
Violation of Daspo Willy entails imprisonment from 1 to 3 years and a fine of 10,000 up to 24,000 Euros.
