Parma, June 30, 2024 – Parma Calcio announces that Valentin Mihaila has renewed his contract until 06.30.2027 with an option for the 2027/2028 season.
Valentin’s story with the yellow and blue colors begins in the autumn of 2020, to be precise in October when he was purchased by Clubul Sportiv Universitatea Craiova.
He is an outside attacker, who loves dribbling and assisting his teammates. But he also has a great predisposition for sacrifice in the defensive phase. In three and a half seasons with Parma Calcio he has collected 84 appearances (between Serie A, Serie B and Coppa Italia), highlighting his qualities and his talents: in the last three Serie B championships only three forwards (born after January 1, 2000) have been able to score at least 10 goals and provide at least 5 assists. Valentin is one of these three forwards (10 goals and 6 assists), together with Sebastiano Esposito (10 goals + 6 assists) and our Adrian Benedyczak (24 goals + 5 assists). Despite a period of integration conditioned by some injuries, Valentin has demonstrated a strong attachment to the Club, the city and the fans. Committed to the 2024 European Championship together with his compatriot (and yellow and blue) Dennis Manwith Romania he has collected 23 appearances and 4 goals to date. And on Tuesday he will be busy in the round of 16 match against Holland.
His last season with Parma was the best in terms of performance and output: Valentin was involved in 8 recti (6 goals and 2 assists)achieving the same result he had achieved by adding his two previous seasons. Today, four years later, he returns to Serie A with the Parma jersey: a Serie A that Valentin strongly wanted to conquer with these colors.
