Gigi Vicinanza, general secretary of Filp Cisal Salerno, intervenes on the recent decision to move from the management of Isam to the temporary company for Salerno Pulita, expressing strong criticism and proposing a new approach to guarantee an adequate service to citizens.
“Withdrawing this notice and starting from scratch is fundamental”, declares Vicinanza. “In recent years, the number of employees has been wickedly reduced from around 75 units to just 40. This number was already insufficient three years ago compared to the city’s needs. Continuing on this path means further worsening the situation.”
Vicinanza proposes to redo the tender taking into account the real staffing needs. “The staff necessary to guarantee all essential services cannot be less than 75 units”, he states. “We cannot speculate on hiring by entrusting the work to third parties. It is necessary to offer real and indefinite contracts, repairing the damage done in recent years and rehiring all former employees in a dignified manner.”
“It is essential that Salerno Pulita returns to operating with an adequate number of employees, hired on a permanent basis”, continues Vicinanza. “This will not only guarantee greater job stability for employees, but above all it will allow us to offer a quality service to the citizens of Salerno. Enough with temporary and inadequate solutions: it’s time to take a step forward and correct the mistakes of the past , restoring dignity to all workers committed to the dignity of our city. I ask that the mistakes of the past be immediately repaired, rehiring all former employees and ensuring them decent permanent contracts. Only in this way will we be able to guarantee an efficient service that responds to real needs of our city”.
