In recent days, staff from the Modica PS Police Station, following a report from the Operations Center of the Ragusa Police Headquarters, intervened to help a young woman with suicidal intentions who was on the ledge of the roof of her home.
The Single Emergency Number received a communication from a woman who reported that her friend was about to commit an unhealthy act due to a strong state of personal suffering.
Once all the necessary information was acquired, the police were immediately sent to the scene.
Upon seeing the woman, the officers immediately understood that the situation was quite dramatic and therefore acted quickly.
While the crew of a patrol car proceeded to establish an empathetic dialogue with the woman in order to make her desist, the agents of the other patrol considered it appropriate to try to get as close as possible to the girl so, after having climbed over the external fence they tore up and broke the glass of a French window, thus managing to enter the house and reach the roof.
