Province of Avellino plagued by road accidents. Four in the last hours in Irpinia have seen the Avellino firefighters actively involved.
The first occurred at 4.00 pm in the municipality of Venticano in the Castello del Lago hamlet where the team from the Grottaminarda detachment intervened.
Two cars involved. Two people were injured in the violent impact, a man and a woman, who, once removed from the cockpits of their cars, were entrusted to the 118 health workers who took them to hospital.
The same team, immediately after 4.00 pm, intervened in the municipality of Frigento on the SS 303, where a car skidded and overturned.
The 51-year-old woman driver, originally from Guardia Lombardi, remained stuck in the passenger compartment and, once extracted, was entrusted to the 118 health workers who in turn transported her to the Frangipane-Bellizzi hospital in Ariano Irpino to be subjected to to medical care.
At 6.40 pm, a team from the Avellino headquarters intervened in Manocalzati near the municipal stadium, where a car skidded and overturned.
Also in this case the girl driver, who was injured, was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. The accidented vehicle was made safe.
The latest accident, in chronological order, occurred on the A 16 Naples-Bari motorway around 8.00 pm.
It happened in the municipality of Grottaminarda shortly before the toll booth exit and involved two cars. The intervention of the firefighters is currently still underway.
