Lamezia Terme – Tomorrow evening, Wednesday 5 June at 6pm, at the Teatro Comunale Grandinetti in Lamezia Terme, Forza Italia is promoting a public meeting on the theme: “Another Calabria… The Europe we would like”, in view of the elections for the renewal of the European Parliament.
“Forza Italia in Europa means protecting and enhancing Italian agriculture, one of our main objectives. We firmly believe in the importance of investing in this vital sector, supporting the agri-food industry with 100% Made in Italy – explains the Forza Italia Lamezia coordination in a note – Our commitment focuses on increasing agricultural income and promotion of the production of strategic raw materials such as wheat, barley, corn and soy, fundamental for the human and livestock food chain. Reducing dependence on unsafe importing countries is a priority. Often, these nations use agricultural raw materials of dubious origin, putting our food security at risk. For this reason, we want to ensure that our productions are safe and of high quality. Protecting the environment is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Our planet, “God’s garden”, must be protected and safeguarded. For this reason, we propose measures to reduce the use of single-use plastic and promote the use of reusable products, made with recycled and easily repairable materials, thus contributing to reducing extremely harmful environmental impacts. Finally, we intend to promote interventions against hydrogeological instability, an increasingly urgent issue that requires immediate and sustainable solutions”.
The President of the Calabria region, Roberto Occhiuto, will be present at the meeting; the Hon regional coordinator, Francesco Cannizzaro; the regional councilor, Gianluca Gallo; the vice President of the region Giusi Princi, candidate for Calabria in Europe, the Mayor of the city of Lamezia Terme, Paolo Mascaro; the Provincial coordinator, Marco Polimeni; the city coordinator, Salvatore De Biase.
