L’AQUILA – Despite the rain and the certainly not spring-like temperatures, there was a good public presence for the National Sports Day, scheduled for yesterday in Navelli at the sports facilities. The initiative was organized by the Provincial Coni L’Aquila in collaboration with the Municipality of Navelli and its comprehensive institute with the significant contribution in organizational terms of the local Pro Loco.
Many young people, children, families, sports associations animated what was a day dedicated to the importance of sporting activity as a tool for cultural and civil growth.
Present at the event since the early hours of the morning were the Provincial Delegate of Coni L’Aquila Vincenzo Di Cecco, the Mayor of Navelli Paolo Federico, the President of the Regional Committee of Coni Enzo Imbastaro and of course the Sports Societies who took part in the event by providing all the specific technical support for each discipline.
“An important day – declared the mayor of Navelli Paolo Federico – because sport has an important educational and sharing value – continues the Mayor – the different entities involved who worked in synergy for the realization of this moment with a large presence of young people, certify the absolute value of the initiative” – concludes Paolo Federico.
