More humid air arrives which causes a rapid increase in clouds, leading to very cloudy skies from the afternoon. Specifically, on the Tyrrhenian coast, initially slightly or partially cloudy skies but with increasing cloud cover starting from the afternoon; on the Ionian coast and inland areas scattered clouds alternating with sunny spells throughout the day; progressively increasing clouds on the southern coast with light rain in the afternoon. Lightens in the evening; progressively increasing clouds on the Apennines with light rain from the afternoon.
Weak winds from the north-eastern quadrants attenuating. Lower Tyrrhenian Sea, slightly moved; Channel and rough Sicilian Sea.
Temperatures
Temperatures in Sicily are essentially stable. Highs between 25 and 31 degrees. 30 degrees are expected in Agrigento, 31 in Caltanissetta, 29 in Catania, 28 in Enna, 27 in Messina, 25 in Palermo, 29 in Ragusa, 29 in Syracuse, 26 in Trapani.
In the rest of Italy
North. A new disturbed impulse affects our regions therefore after a morning that will pass with general conditions of good weather with little cloudy skies, during the afternoon instability will ignite in all regions with the arrival of thunderstorms and hailstorms of an irregular nature. The weather will be sunnier in Liguria and lower Piedmont. Weak winds, mild weather.
Center and Sardinia. Slightly decreasing pressure on our regions, the day will be characterized by general good weather conditions with clear or slightly cloudy skies. Only the possibility of some quick showers in the afternoon in upper Umbria and northern Marche should be noted. The winds will blow weakly from variable directions, the seas will be calm. Mild climate.
South and Sicily. The African anticyclone is increasingly advancing. The day will be characterized by good weather prevailing in all regions. The sky will be clear everywhere in the morning, while in the afternoon the cloud cover will increase significantly in Sicily and Calabria, but without causing precipitation. Weak winds from variable directions, the seas will be almost calm. Hot weather.
Tuesday 5 June
High pressure strengthens further, resulting in sunny weather with at most a few scattered clouds at dawn. Specifically on the Tyrrhenian coast, scattered clouds alternating with sunny spells throughout the day with a tendency to clearing in the evening; on the Ionian coast, initially slightly or partially cloudy skies, but with progressively increasing clouds and light rain from the afternoon; on the southern coast, mostly partly cloudy or partly cloudy skies, except for greater variability in the central hours of the day; in the Apennines and inland areas, a mostly cloudy day, except for the presence of scattered clouds in the morning.
Weak winds from the north-eastern quadrants attenuating and rotating to the north-eastern quadrants. Lower Tyrrhenian Sea, slightly moved; Channel and rough Sicilian Sea.
North. The pressure increases decisively on our regions, but despite this on this day there will be some areas where the weather will be a little unstable. We are talking about the mountainous areas of the Triveneto and locally those of Lombardy where there may be afternoon showers. In the rest of the regions the sun will be prevalent and the heat will increase. Light winds, calm seas.
Center and Sardinia. The subtropical anticyclone Scipio advances on our regions therefore the day will be characterized by general good weather conditions, in fact the sun will not have major problems shining in a sky that will be predominantly clear or at most slightly cloudy. The winds will blow weakly from different directions, the sea will be little rough or even calm.
South and Sicily. The African anticyclone Scipione has arrived in our regions and will bring with it, at least today, many clouds that will cover the sky over Sicily and Calabria where quick showers cannot be ruled out. In the rest of the regions the weather will be sunnier even if in a context of partially cloudy skies. Warm climate, even summer. Light winds and calm seas.
