L’Aquila, 150 registered from all over Italy for the ‘Rea Palus Race’


L’AQUILA – There are currently many people registered for the ‘Rea Palus Race’, the obstacle race which will be held on Saturday 8 June in L’Aquila, involving the historic centre.

Presented yesterday by the organizer, Andrea Molinari, it saw the participation of the Councilor for Sport Vito Colonna, by the representatives of the organizing and executive Committee L’Aquila Cresce con lo Sport 2024, Enrica Liaci and Luigi Faccia, by the Commander of the Military Command of Abruzzo Molise army Colonel Iovinelli.

A 7 km route that will cross some of the most emblematic places of the city, including the Spanish Castle, the Basilica of San Bernardino, Collemaggio and the Villa Comunale. Every corner involved in the race will be transformed into a breathtaking testing ground for the participants.

The Rea Palus Race village will be located in the Castello Park in Viale Medaglie d’Oro, the center of activities with the start and finish of the race, exhibition stands and the stage for the awards ceremony.

The accreditations, cloakroom and changing rooms will be at the Tommaso Fattori Stadium, guaranteeing a fluid and efficient organisation.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9.20am at the village, followed by the Elite heats at 10.00am and the Open heats at 10.30am.

The awards ceremony will take place at 1.30pm, celebrating the winners in a festive atmosphere. The estimated time to complete the route which includes 21 obstacles, many of which are almost prohibitive, is 50 minutes.
