Funds to combat the hardship of minors increase in Lombardy and Milan. Here’s how they will be used: the sum is important
The Lombardy Region puts itself at the forefront in combating bullying and discomfort among minors with the approval of a resolution by which increases by one million euros the current financial allocation, of three million euros, for these very important missions. The councilor for family, social solidarity, disability and equal opportunities is proposing this increase: here are the projects.
“Prevention of child distress it is a priority for our region” announced the family councilor, thus underlining how many resources, material but not only, are put into play in this sense. Thanks to the increase approved by the resolution, the total allocation reaches 3,698,000 euros and this will serve to further strengthen the projects already activated by the various Ats regarding the fight against bullying and cyberbullying.

The importance of a co-responsibility approach
According to the councilor, there must be a basis for combating bullying collaboration and cooperation between educational institutions, the local health and social service system and the police forces. It is therefore essential to have early diagnoses of any problematic situations so that, at home and at school, we have all the useful tools to contain the problem and initiate resolution strategies.
Lombardy Region, specifically, is designing territorial action plans directed by Ats which, through a network model, involves every interested body, with particular attention to the Prefectures. These bodies, in fact, act in synergy with the ATS to ensure that territorial priorities are quickly identified. On the basis of the latter, therefore, intervention and action plans are formulated to support minors in need.
“These resources are an investment to prevent discomfort of the children and stay alongside the families”the councilor then concluded. According to him, therefore, it will also be possible to work on the activation of orientation and support interventions for the families of minors by linking them with the interventions already activated by services present in the area and by family centres.
