In an intense and hard-fought match, the players led by captain Di Matteo demonstrated extraordinary determination and commitment, competing for every ball as if it were the last.
Sulmona’s journey has not been without obstacles. After a start with numerous new arrivals to integrate, the team had a memorable season. The group’s hard work and cohesion led to the conquest of a place in the playoffs and, ultimately, the final victory.
The words of Mister Antonio Ricci
After the match, coach Antonio Ricci expressed his satisfaction with the result obtained: “We had an important second part of the championship, but we had taken too much distance from Junior Domitia who still deserved promotion. Ours is a team that has become aware over time, given the total revolution both at the roster and club level.”
Ricci also acknowledged the difficulties encountered during the match: “We arrived really tired, because during the championship we tried to reach Domitia and this exhausted us. Furthermore, we faced a team that deserved to go up as much as we did. The match was very tough, but favorable events such as Gallinica’s sending off and our 3-1 goal helped us prevail, even if we conceded another goal later.”

Now that Sulmona has reached Serie A2, there is great enthusiasm and confidence for the future.
