Serious accident on Strada Ovest in Treviso today, 3 June, at 1.30 pm. A 38-year-old woman, riding her bicycle, was hit by a van, driven by a 22-year-old boy, on the cycle path at the intersection with Via Pisa, near the Gobbo driving school. The rescuer: «I was walking down the street, I saw the pickup truck go by, I heard the bang and I saw the truck go down – he explains -. I approached to help him and I saw the girl’s body, her head was in the water. I asked someone for help and so with another guy we pulled her up. I held her tightly in my arms. When I saw her she was 20 centimeters into the water, we pulled her to shore, let her breathe, she threw the water out and we kept her awake, she was destroyed, covered in blood. It was all broken. Let’s hope that everything goes well, that it was of some use to that poor girl.”

And about the driver of the van he says: «He was worried, he didn’t even know he had hit the girl. He was shaken and they took him away in the ambulance.”
