The testing point for aids for the disabled reopens in Livorno

Will open soon “test point” for the aids in the premises made available by “IN APS Association” chaired by Fabrizio Torsi (in the picture). Thanks to the collaboration between the user association and the ASL Tuscany North West, disabled people residing in Livorno, who need low-medium technological complexity aids, will be able to try them in the premises of the structure called “former bakery” inside the hospital in Livorno and they will no longer have to go to the highly complex aid laboratory located in Fornacette (PI).

It’s about the prescription

of low-medium technology aids, such as standard electronic wheelchairs, which require testing with the user before prescribing.
The availability of the test point will therefore reduce the inconveniences of disabled citizens of Livorno by providing an easily accessible local service. However, the need to go to Fornacette remains, where a specialized team operates, to prescribe high-tech and particularly complex aids.
