The Vittoria Naval Shipyard continues its ongoing orders

ADRIA (Rovigo) – Cantiere Navale Vittoria continues as expected in the implementation of the orders included in the Approved Restructuring Plan (so-called PRO) presented last April at the Court of Rovigo, which will guarantee operational activity for the Polesine company until ‘summer.

Over the last week, three 11-metre Fast Intervention Vessels capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 knots were delivered to the Garde Nationale Tunisienne, and whose dimensions and construction characteristics make them optimal for use aimed at migrant search and rescue interventions. A further four units are nearing completion and are scheduled for delivery next month. Garde Nationale Tunisenne and Unops thus confirm themselves as strategic and consolidated partners of the Venetian company in the construction of boats aimed at safeguarding human lives at sea.

Always within the framework of a fruitful collaboration with these bodies, Cantiere Navale Vittoria is also carrying out the refitting of two boats of the Garde Nationale Tunisienne previously built between 2012 and 2013. The units are two 35 meter Fast Patrol Vessels, among the main ones in the Tunisian Marine Corps fleet, also used within the Mediterranean Sea for rescue operations and safeguarding national borders. The works will be carried out at the Rodriguez Naval Shipyard in Hammamet, in order to complete the entire maintenance cycle already started previously between 2022 and 2023 with four similar units.

Added to this is the delivery by the summer of two twenty meter long SAR (Search And Rescue) fast patrol boats built for the Croatian Police. The first unit was launched last May 23rd, and the launch of the second took place today.

The company’s work activity therefore continues according to plan, thanks to the decisive contribution of its workers and collaborators and to an organization remodeled on the current needs and prospects; precisely from an organizational point of view, the interruption of the working relationship with the engineer should be noted. Luigi Chinappi, previously commercial director of the company.

The search for an investor also continues, who will allow a full company restructuring and its relaunch, with the aim of safeguarding jobs and the historical value of the brand. They will necessarily have to be very quick and the rescue plan will have to be implemented by the end of the PRO, therefore by the end of the summer to avoid the inevitable consequence of the start of the company liquidation process.
