2024 elections: over 56 thousand people from Cremona entitled to vote

On Saturday 8 June 2024 from 3pm to 11pm and on Sunday 9 June 2024 from 7am to 11pm we will vote for the election of the members of the European Parliament and for the direct election of the Mayor and the City Council. In the Municipality of Cremona the voters for the administrative elections are 56458 (females 29540 – males 26918), while for the European elections they are 54961 (females 28821 – males 26139). There are 230 newly eighteen-year-olds voting for the first time (108 females and 122 males).

It is advisable for the voter to check the spaces available on their electoral card in good time. To facilitate citizens, the Electoral Office (corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 42) will be open to the public, without reservation, for the issuing of the electoral card – in case of running out of space or loss – in addition to the usual opening hours, Friday 7 June from 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8 June from 8.30 am to 11.00 pm, Sunday 9 June from 7:00 to 23:00. The Registry Office (via Ala Ponzone, 32) will be open to the public, without reservations, only for the issue of identity cards for citizens who need them to go to vote, Saturday 8 June from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm e Sunday 9 June from 7:00 to 23:00.

Voters who intend to exercise their right to vote, but are unable to go to the polling station independently due to mobility impairment, can ask to be accompanied by a transport service provided by an association equipped with vehicles equipped for the transport of disabled people. To use the transport service, simply call the Municipality’s electoral office in good time (tel. 0372407333 – 0372407332). Tall the seats are found in the location indicated on the electoral card, except for those listed below as they are temporarily unsuitable for electoral operations:

  • Cascinetto Civic Center, home of the electoral sections no. 58 – 59: the sections were transferred to the “Bianca Maria Visconti” School Center with entrance from via Dritta, 2;
  • “Anne Frank” educational institute, home of the electoral sections no. 49 – 50 – 55 – 56: the sections were transferred to the “Bianca Maria Visconti” School Center with entrance from via Giuseppina 29;
  • Boschetto Civic Center, home of the electoral sections no. 65 – 66 – 67: the sections were transferred to the “Stradivari” School Center with entrance from via S. Bernardo 1;
  • Maristella Civic Center, home of the electoral sections no. 45 – 73: the sections were transferred to the “Stradivari” School Center with entrance from via S. Bernardo 1.

A free shuttle service has been established for voters residing in Migliaro, Boschetto and Maristella who must go to the polling stations located at the “Stradivari” school center (see attached table). In any case, on the Municipality’s website (https://www.comune.cremona.it/elezioni-2024) there is a dedicated section with details of all the useful information relating to voting for the 2024 European and Administrative elections.
