“Tricolour Day” of the Piacenza Historic Vehicles Club: unique historic cars and over one hundred collectors – The Piacenza Historic Vehicle Club is now a guarantee for vintage car enthusiasts. If a splendid sunny morning is added to this consolidated and recognized experience, success is guaranteed. And in fact it happened for the “Tricolor Day”, an event that started from Quarto di Gossolengo which saw the participation of around a hundred people and the presence of over 60 examples, including cars and motorbikes. Participants coming not only from all over Piacenza, but also from other provinces such as Parma, Cremona, Pavia, Reggio Emilia and Genoa: the best recognition for the CVSP, a reality capable of combining the love for the engines of the past with the discovery of the views most evocative of our territory. And in fact also for the “Tricolour Day” the club has proposed a route designed to entertain and excite: from Quarto, in fact, passing through Borgonovo Val Tidone, Pianello Val Tidone and Gazzola and then returning to the base for lunch. An itinerary studied ad hoc by the Events President, Pinuccio Cavallari. To enliven the lunch, then, the raffle organized by the club together with the many sponsors who wanted to support the initiative.

Sponsors who also allowed the club to organize a welcome gift for all participants. Alongside the traditional and fundamental road books of the route, there were also very useful USB ports to connect to the cigarette lighter and a portable alcohol test kit. An always fundamental tool for keeping the bar of prevention and awareness high: inseparable themes when it comes to engines, themes to which the club is very attached. Real jewels paraded through the hills of Piacenza. A very rare and precious Lancia Aurelia from 1954, a Lancia Delta HF integral Martini 5 limited series, and then again Alfa Romeo Turbo America, Citroën Traction Avant, the majestic Pontiac, a Fiat Uno Turbo from 1986, a Lancia Flavia from 1962 just to name a few someone. Also in this case, presences that well demonstrate the appreciation of enthusiasts for the work of the CVSP. At the end of the tour, the participants had lunch in the modern and welcoming center of the Lyons Quarto sports centre.

“We are really happy with this large presence, so many have joined and we are very satisfied”, comment Giorgio Mazzocchi and Sabina Scotti, respectively president and treasurer of the CVSP. “The fact that collectors from other provinces are present, even two people from Genoa, honors us. It is a very important testimony that rewards the work of all the club members. Furthermore, we must thank the Lyons Quartos and the president Arianna Burzoni who hosted and supported us, making their splendid structure available. They were really very kind.”

“For us it is a real pleasure to host events like today’s,” explains Stefano Tosi, partner of Lyons Quarto. “Our sports club was created with the aim of supporting and promoting every type of sport and cultural activity. And the engines represent a perfect example.” As proof of Tosi’s words, just think that next to the football field and the Padel facility, a new structure will soon be built, capable of hosting around 250 people: a real arena intended for volleyball, basketball but also theater and events that are not strictly sporting. A point of reference therefore for the entire community. Also present at the start was the mayor of Gossolengo, Andrea Balestrieri, who wanted to be present to say goodbye. Once the tricolor day is over, the next commitment of the Historic Vehicle Club is scheduled for 23 June with the Bobbio-Penice reserved for motorbikes and then on 7 July with the Circuito dei Castelli, an initiative reserved for cars.
