Gunfire in Viale Nervi in ​​Latina, a 27-year-old injured

Gunshot ambush in the Viale Nervi area of ​​Latina: it happened on the night between Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June; The victim was a 27-year-old young man who was rushed to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital in Latina with a red code, but his life was not in danger.

The agents of the Flying Squad are investigating the episode, which puts the spotlight back on the area of ​​the buildings in Viale Pierluigi Nervi. According to a very first reconstruction, the ambush took place when the young man was returning home after an evening with his friends. Waiting for him in the entrance hall of the building where he lives is a man dressed in black and with a distorted face.

Everything was consumed in just a few seconds; the man emerged from the door, the victim attempted a desperate escape but was hit by a gunshot to the buttock. At that point the alarm went off and the 118 officers and health workers arrived on the scene while the attacker’s traces had already been lost. The 27-year-old rescuer was then transported to Goretti where he is hospitalized.

Police investigations began immediately and they are trying to trace the identity of the attacker as well as shed light on the reasons behind the ambush.
