A man from Rosarno, cl., ended up in handcuffs. 84, who gave no explanation as to the origin of the narcotic.
Taking into account the large quantity, it is believed that the analyzes that will be conducted on the narcotic will confirm the high purity of the cocaine: in this regard, considering an average retail price of around 80 euros per gram, for the narcotic seized by the Carabinieri of Gioia Tauro an overall amount is estimated to be almost 23 million of euros, all without considering the almost total certainty that the drug could be “cut” with other substances, before selling it to the final buyer on the road.
At the end of the formalities, the arrested person was associated with the Palmi prison and made available to the Judicial Authority.
The seizure is among the most important ones carried out by the Carabinieri of the Group Gioia Tauro in the last few years.
