These are subjects – as reported Southern Gazette – involved in various capacities in the alleged introduction of counterfeit banknotes to deceive traders who were paid with counterfeit money and in the alleged ring of car thefts which, in some cases, were also modified by trusted body shops to make them unrecognizable to the owners.
This is a procedure that is in fact the excerpt of an investigation focused on the Roma group present in the Acquabona district of Crotone. In this case, the DDA, not recognizing the existence of the mafia aggravating circumstance for the contested offences, transferred the file to the Crotone Prosecutor’s Office.
