“Mario Colamartino” Award, an evening of emotions and quality journalism – AndriaLive.it

It was an evening full of emotions that marked the final event of the first edition of the “Mario Colamartino Journalism Award”, named after the late journalist from Corato who passed away last September after fighting a serious illness.

Many guests took part in the awards ceremony, which took place inside the elegant Palazzo Gioia in Corato. There are many who, in various capacities, were linked to the figure of the late journalist from Corato, to whom the award is named, and who shared life and professional paths with him.

The event, organized by LiveNetwork and the local periodical Lo Stradone, enjoyed the patronage of the Order of Journalists of Puglia, the Metropolitan City of Bari and the Municipality of Corato, and was supported by Confimi Bari – Bat and Foggia, Foundation Casillo, Cannillo Foundation and Granoro.

The award, established to celebrate excellence in journalism and to remember the work and professional legacy of Colamartino, saw the participation of numerous journalists and reporters from all over Italy. During the evening, those present were able to hear testimonies about the life and career of the late journalist, described by all as a passionate professional and a man of great integrity and kindness.

The “Mario Colamartino Journalism Award” aims to become an annual event, an opportunity to enhance quality journalism and to remember a figure who has left an indelible mark in the hearts of many colleagues and readers.

With this first edition, we wanted to start a tradition which, in addition to honoring the memory of Mario Colamartino, will continue to promote the values ​​of truth, passion and dedication that characterized his journalistic work.

The jury, made up of representatives of the sponsoring and supporting bodies, analyzed the dozens of contributions received from journalists from all over Italy and drew up the list of winners of the prize, worth one thousand euros for each of the four competing categories.
