“Deep disappointment from the regional administration led by President Rocca – writes the Civic Union in a note – The closure of the birth center in the Riuniti hospital of Anzio and Nettuno is yet another abuse suffered by two important cities like Anzio and Nettuno.
I remember the meeting of the City Councils of Anzio and Nettuno gathered in a joint session at Villa Sarsina with the presence of the now General Director Dr. Narcisio Mostarda where he reassured the city representatives that there would be no closure of the departments present in the Riuniti Anzio Hospital Complex and Nettuno and that from there the health administration would shortly carry out numerous renovation and strengthening interventions on a health facility that brings together almost two hundred thousand residents all year round and almost double that number in the summer months.
After that city council – continues the note – a memorandum of understanding followed between the Regional administration led by Nicola Zingaretti, the Health administration and the Mayors of Anzio and Nettuno De Angelis and Coppola where the Lazio Region committed itself with important investments in restructuring the Hospital and strengthening the health personnel . Investments which were then carried out in the following months such as the renovation of the Emergency Room and the renovation of the Faina Pavilion. I am deeply disappointed by the centre-right regional administration led by Francesco Rocca which, instead of showing the much promised change of direction compared to the past, is on the contrary, penalizing two territories where in the last regional elections it received full votes, allowing all the current regional administration to sit today in the seats where they are. I want to make an appeal to all political forces – Maranesi’s note continues – and in particular to the only representative of the territory present in the Regional Council, the Hon. Fabio Capolei to take responsibility for resolving this latest arrogance that this area suffers, reopening the birth center at the Anzio hospital as soon as possible. We cannot continue to favor the territories of the Castelli Romani which are certainly numerically inferior to us. I wouldn’t want the citizens of Anzio and Nettuno, historically belonging to the centre-right, to feel the need to regret the centre-left administration led by Nicola Zingaretti”.
