The dismissal has been announced for June 30th and 1000 people could lose their jobs. But the employees of Abramo Customer Care don’t agree. And they have decided to protest by not going to vote in the European elections and invite citizens to show solidarity with them by doing the same.

The protest is staged by the 500 employees of the Crotone office to whom, ideally, we add the approximately 300 from Cosenza and the 200 from Catanzaro who will have to say goodbye to their jobs. The participants in the Crotone demonstration therefore decided to hand over their electoral cards: dozens of people deposited them in special containers and then took them to the prefect.

“We will put it in the hands of the local government authority, and therefore the state – the employees claimed in a document – our right and duty as electing citizens. Losing 500 jobs is equivalent, in this area, to economic and social death. Men and women without work are deprived of their dignity and their future. And therefore of real citizenship. Time is almost up now, but we don’t intend to resign ourselves or even give up. We don’t want to and we can’t do it. We are fighting for jobs and this fight must see us united. What we ask citizens is to be with us.”
