Having ended the trip to Oslo with an excellent performance and a good draw, this morning the National Women’s Team returned to Italy bringing with them a baggage full of optimism. The 0-0 draw obtained at the ‘Ullevaal Stadion’ allows the Azzurre to present themselves with confidence to the new match against Norway, which will be played on Tuesday at 6.15 pm (live on Rai 2) at the ‘Paolo Mazza’ stadium in Ferrara.
In light of the Netherlands’ victory over Finland, to gain direct qualification for EURO 2025 – without going through the play-offs – it will be essential to try to get full spoils in the second round against the Scandinavians, to leapfrog them in the standings and appear in the last two matches of the group scheduled for July with a three-point lead. The strength and mentality of the group means that there is a hint of regret for not having won yesterday’s match, but now head, heart and legs are already projected towards the next important event.
“We went to Oslo – declared Laura Giuliani before training this afternoon in the SPAL sports center – with the conviction of wanting to bring home the three points, unfortunately we didn’t succeed. It will therefore be essential to recover our energy to be in top form on Tuesday and take what we left in Norway.” Yesterday, after Stéphanie Frappart’s final whistle, as usual, the collective embrace between team and staff took place, all united towards a single goal. “The coach was very satisfied with the way we played and how we approached the match – added the goalkeeper, one step away from 85 appearances for the senior national team – our attitude must be to try to win every match. We have the great opportunity to still have everything in our hands, we must focus on ourselves and our qualities without worrying about what our opponents are doing.”
Giuliani can’t wait to embrace the public in Ferrara again, where Italy has never lost and where it achieved decisive successes for participation in the last two editions of the World Cup. “The ‘Mazza’ has always been a very hot stadium – he concluded – the memories are many and pleasant because we experienced wonderful emotions here. I expect to find the same affection as always and the same following: at this moment we need the support of all the fans to go onto the pitch with maximum energy.”

The price of the south stand is 14 euros (1 euro for Under 12s), while the north stands costs 5 euros (1 euro for Under 18s and Over 65s). Free entry for ticket holders of the Italian Cup final between Roma and Fiorentina, played in Cesena on 24 May: in this case it will be possible to obtain the ticket by entering your personal details when purchasing the ticket for the Ferrara match and, in the discount code field, the tax seal code present in the final one.
On the day of the race it will also be possible to purchase tickets at the box office in via Cassoli, which will be open from 3.15pm to 7.15pm.
