Il Beach Bus it’s the bus that takes you to the sea. With the Beach Bus, Atam wants to provide an incentive to those who want to go to the sea on the city’s beaches, from North to South, from Catona to Lazzaro, without having to worry about parking, traffic and fuel consumption.
Routes and Destinations
Reggio Calabria center with the beaches of the Lungomare and then in a northerly direction:
- The beaches of Pentimele
- The Gallico Marina Promenade
- Catona to Kalura Beach (with the related nearby beaches)
Heading south, the Beach Bus will be useful for easily reaching the beaches of:
- Calamizzi and the Source
- San Gregorio and Porto Bolaro
- Pellaro
- The beaches of Bocale with the lidos
- Until you reach Lazzaro, passing through Lido Sogno and Magna Grecia
Operation of the service
The service operates every day (including holidays with different times to see in the attached file). In 2024 it will be active from 01 June to 30 September.

Rates and freebies
Rates 2024 per Person:
- Urban ticket (75 min.) = €1.50
- Daily urban ticket = €4.50
Ticket book:
With ticket booklets you have the possibility to buy tickets in advance and save!
- Carnet of 10 urban tickets = €13.8 (only on the app)
Each carnet is personal and cannot be used by more than one person.
Free:
- Children under 100 cm free (with identification document and accompanied)
- Small pets are free if muzzled and kept on a leash
