Francesca Fagnani, fear for the presenter of Belve: “Very serious threats”

The very famous host of “Belve”, Francesca Fagnani, finds herself at the center of a whirlwind of threats. Big concern for her.

Few television professionals, in recent years, have had such a great growth in notoriety as that seen by Francesca Fagnani. Her program “Belve” is without a doubt one of the most followed and appreciated on RAI. Now, however, for the journalist it is the moment of fear: the threats received are in fact very serious.

Born in Rome, she was able to conquer the public with her incisive style, always suspended between journalism and hosting. With a degree in Literature and a doctorate in Dante Philology, she soon understood that her path would be journalism. The “Belve” program represents one of the most important stages in Francesca Fagnani’s career. Aired first on Nove and subsequently on Rai 2, “Belve” is a talk show in which Fagnani interviews public figureshighlighting little-known aspects of their lives and careers.

With a direct and unfiltered style, Fagnani has managed to create a unique format that has received praise for its depth and authenticity. The program stands out for its ability to address complex and often uncomfortable issues, always maintaining a respectful but incisive tone.

With his passion for journalism and his commitment to telling true stories, Fagnani has therefore been able to attract great attention to himself. Also negative, unfortunately. Why the threats received by the journalist in these last hours are those that make the veins tremble in the wrists.

The threats to Francesca Fagnani

On April 30th this year, the journalist published the investigative book “Mala. Criminal Rome” concerning Roman organized crime. And it was precisely within these environments that the threats received by the journalist for her investigative work arose.

Increasingly serious insults and threats from Roman organized crime. Due to these intimidations, the Prefecture of Rome decided to implement specific supervision to ensure safety of the journalist. The situation would have worsened after the publication of his latest book, in which Fagnani explores the world of illicit business, focusing on those who manage the drug dealing centers and on the murder of Fabrizio Piscitelli, alias Diabolik, leader of the Lazio Irriducibili, murdered on August 7, 2019 by a hitman at the Acquedotti park.

The volume is a detailed investigation into the criminal networks operating in Rome, citing the names and surnames of the main bosses, such as the Michele ‘o Pazzo cartel and the powerful Albanian organisations. Fagnani describes a huge cocaine business which generates millions of euros and fuels a fierce struggle for control of the drug dealing areas, from the coast of Ostia to the outskirts of Tor Bella Monaca.

After the book’s release, Fagnani began receiving threats, presumably from the subjects described in his work. This led the Prefecture of Rome to intensify security measures around the journalist. The police, already involved in his protection, increased the level of attention to prevent any attacks.
