The Junior’s final was beautiful, fought until the last lap. At the start Langendonck takes the lead and after a few laps he pulls ahead of the rest of the group. Everything happens behind the Belgian. The brawl breaks out between Sala, Schaufler, Pohjola, Kamjab, Kraeling and Calleja. While Martinese exits the train and thanks to some contact, he drops back about ten positions. Halfway through the race, behind the top 3: Langendonck, Kamjab and Pohjola, the brawl regains strength with Arias taking advantage of it by gaining fourth position, while Schaufler and Sala lose contact with the leaders, relegating them to ninth and 14th place. The finale is gripping thanks to the recovery of Pohjola – who had already shown off during the Super Heats – on Kamjab. Once the Finn from Tony has gained second position, he aims for the race leader. The gap between the two of less than 1″ and Pohjola’s lap times suggest that the finish will not be so obvious. Two laps from the finish line Pohjola reaches the pacesetter and tries to get past him, but the Belgian closes and the Finn has no choice but to raise his foot, thus favoring Kamjab’s entry. So while Langendonck gained precious meters and crossed the finish line with a safety margin, Kamjab and Pohjola, after an alternation, dueled for the second position which was then the prerogative of the Englishman who was also driven by the Tm. Well done Martinese to climb up to fourth place

OK ending… not much, and Turney enjoys it
In the OK final several collisions following an excited start ended up distorting the outcome of this competition dominated by Ramaekers, his first title in the category. The start section and related braking leave something to be desired and the race director had to postpone a couple of them before starting the third attempt. But even in this third attempt something didn’t add up and the front rows crowded together immediately after the first hairpin bend. The Belgian was the only one to escape unscathed, while several contacts, due to force majeure due to a slowdown at the top of the grid, also led, albeit fortuitously, to the withdrawal of Gomez – who from today can look ahead and put it aside every expectation for the title -, and penalizing Iglesias, Morgatto and Wherrell, just to mention those who occupied the upper area of the grid. Turney walked and finished seventh, and with Gomez retiring he still enjoyed it.
PS. A warning for the race direction. On these occasions and on certain tracks, and especially with the more experienced drivers who should set an example, it would have been appropriate to display the red flag and inflict some penalties that would have had the right effect and then resume the procedure. And so the race, and perhaps even the championship, would gain credibility, regardless of who wins it.
