Summer season in Latina, the circulation and parking plan. 30Km/h zone established – Luna Notizie – Latina News

LTOINA – Traffic and parking regulations are underway for the 2024 summer season in the Marina area.
Among the innovations introduced, by order of the Transport and Mobility Department of the Municipality of Latina, the establishment of the 30km/h zone for all vehicles on the Lungomare road, the stretch between the Rio Martino roundabout and via Valmontorio and on via Valmontorio itself ( up to the Moscarello canal bridge). Along the entire coast, vehicles must proceed at a speed that does not exceed the limit of 30 kilometers per hour.

The ordinance, signed by the manager Daniela Prandi, will remain in force until September 15th.
Among the various provisions, we highlight the establishment of a ban on stopping for all vehicles on the Lungomare road, the stretch between via Casilina Sud and via Valmontorio; the establishment of stalls reserved for the loading and unloading of goods, in via Valmontorio, in the number of two places, one before and one after the entrance avenue of Piazzale dei Navigatori (sea side); the establishment of stalls reserved for people with disabilities, in via Valmontorio in the number of two spaces before the entrance avenue of Piazzale dei Navigatori (sea side); the establishment of reserved parking stalls, on Lungomare road, sea side, from 8 am to 8 pm every day for a maximum of 30 minutes reserved for local public transport buses, for loading and unloading in front of civic 1051 and civic 87, except for vehicles serving disabled people which have no time limitation.

While the rates for parking on the blue lines have remained unchanged, the ordinance reserves free parking from 8am to 8pm, for a maximum of 30 minutes and with display of the parking disc, to users of commercial activities, where provided for by the signs. Parking for campers, motorhomes and caravans is permitted in the paid parking area of ”Vasco De Gama”, adjacent to the entrance to via Massaro.
“This year, for the first time, thanks to the installation of a barrier, vehicles will no longer be allowed to enter Piazzale dei Navigatori. For this reason, the stops for loading and unloading goods in the immediate vicinity have been expanded,” said Gianluca Di Cocco, councilor for the Navy and Mobility.
“Furthermore – added councilor Di Cocco – bollards will be positioned in front of the Tirreno hotel and the Miramare hotel to avoid wild parking to the detriment of the transit of means of transport and especially emergency vehicles”.
