LECCE – Ten years after the release of the album “The Comics Tune”, Fulvio Palese returns with the same lineup to re-propose some of the album’s compositions, with the addition of new songs, thanks also to the presence of the wonderful voice of Susanna Stivali . Friday 21 June, on the day of the Music Festival, appointment starting at 8.45 pm in the Sala Giardino of Via Lino Suppressa (crossroad of Via Petraglione) in Lecce, third appointment of the “Classica d’Estate… & Wine” review organized by the Camerata Salento Musical.
The album owes its title to the comic created specifically by the talented Salento cartoonist Federico Mele, from which the packaging of the entire work arose. All compositions (with the exception of The nearness of you) and arrangements are by Fulvio Palese. The sound is decidedly jazz crossover, fresh and enjoyable, especially due to some rhythmic/melodic solutions and the choice of a dry and direct sound. Upon its release in 2014, the album remained at number one in the iTunes charts for several weeks, both as an album and as singles.
