Marsilio in the new residence for the elderly – Teramo

GIULIANOVA. The President of the Region Marcus Marsilio was on Friday in Giulianova visiting the Rsa (assisted healthcare residence) in bivio Bellocchio, recently inaugurated as a center for elderly people suffering from dementia, to promote the important local healthcare project. Then he participated in two electoral events in support of the outgoing mayor Jwan Costantini.
During the visit to the new healthcare facility, Marsilio praised the Rsa as a virtuous example of local healthcare: «This is a result achieved after 18 years of abandonment of the facility. In reality, the current health residence had been intended for this purpose thanks to the generosity of a family who had made a bequest, but until now it had never seen the light”, he declared. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the local health authority used the structure to manage the emergency, thus starting to give it a concrete healthcare destination. “Today, with the 25 beds available for dementia in the acute phase, its full development is being achieved,” added the governor. Marsilio also highlighted that the health district was also associated with the residence, recently transferred from the Lido, whose original building was now dilapidated and unusable.
Subsequently, Marsilio presented the list of 16 Fratelli d’Italia candidates for the local elections on 8 and 9 June in the conference room of the Cristallo hotel. The local Fratelli d’Italia club announced its support for Costantini for his second term as mayor, presenting a varied staff made up of people from different areas and realities of the city. Among those who attended the conference were important exponents of the party including the regional councilor D’Annuntiis, the regional councilors Gatti and Rossi, the deputy Guerino Testathe senator Guido Quintino Liris and the regional coordinator Etelwardo Sigismondi. Subsequently, at the “Ennio Flaiano” sea amphitheater, Marsilio joined all 144 candidates of the nine lists in support of Costantini for the official presentation. The governor expressed confidence in the outgoing mayor’s victory and underlined the importance of internationally renowned events to promote Giulianova and Abruzzo, such as the Giro d’Italia and the Frecce tricolori. He also discussed important infrastructure projects and the improvement of health services, reiterating the centre-right’s commitment to Costantini.(sg)
