THE “FLACCO” MUSICAL HIGH SCHOOL OF VENOSA TRIUMPHS AT THE “REMO VINCIGUERRA” MUSIC COMPETITION – Talenti Lucani

In the heart of the province of Chieti, the city of Lanciano witnessed the triumph of the Liceo Musicale “QO Flacco” of Venosa at the “Remo Vinciguerra” Music Competition, organized by the IC “Mario Bosco” with the patronage of the Municipality of Lanciano. A three-day event full of emotions and characterized by performances of the highest level saw the Flacco students emerge as undisputed protagonists, winning 38 first, second and third prizes. On May 13th, 14th and 15th, the “Fedele Fenaroli” Theater in Lanciano enthusiastically welcomed young talents from all over the country, ready to get involved and express the best of themselves. On Monday 13th the Flacco students competed in the solo, duo, ensemble and orchestra categories, distinguishing themselves for courage, dedication and determination, distinctive traits of true art. The results confirmed the extraordinary talent of the Flacco students and the quality of the guides who accompany them in their musical growth. The jury, chaired by Maestro Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, by the school director Mirella Spinelli, Maestro Gabriella Schips, Maestro Andrea Di Mele and Maestro Angela Giancristofaro, has decreed the winners of the 3rd edition of the “Remo Vinciguerra” International Music Competition, awarding 38 prizes to the “Liceo Musicale Quinto Orazio Flacco” in Venosa. In addition to numerous other second and third prizes, mention should be made of the first prizes in the soloist category won by the brilliant saxophonists Maria Sofia Rosa and Daniele Pagano, students of Prof. Cristian Mele, accompanied on the piano by Prof. Sara Dimattia. Among the first classified also the pianist Gianmarco Squeglia, student of Prof. S. Dimattia, and the percussionist Giorgia Viglione, student of Prof. F. Acquafredda. Second prizes in the Chamber Music category were awarded to Gabriele Belluscio and Alice Garripoli, both pianists who were students of Prof. Filomena Bruno. Second prize also for the Orchestra category, directed by Prof. Francesco Lisena, Prof. Annachiara Griesi and Prof. Cristian Mele, who offered the jury a repertoire that ranged from classical to musical. The pride of the teachers, of Andrea Graziano, head of the Music Department and of the school director, Professor Mimma Carlomagno, is tangible and fully justified. This triumph was not just the fruit of a day of competition, but the result of months of hard work, sacrifices and constant commitment. It is tangible proof that when passion is combined with talent and dedication, there are no limits that can stop success. The “QO Flacco” Music High School in Venosa has once again demonstrated its excellence in the panorama of musical education, training not only talented musicians, but also young people capable of facing challenges with determination and determination. The entire school community and the Venosa area unite in praising the extraordinary results obtained by their students, wishing them to continue to cultivate their passion and achieve new goals in the wonderful world of music.
