L’“Alessandro Volta” State Technical Institute of Technology in Tivoli he took first and second “Igino Giordani” Award for the High School category.

The prestigious recognition was awarded on Friday 24 May, during the awards ceremony held at the church of San Vincenzo Martire, in Piazza San Vincenzo in Tivoli.

The competition named after Igino Giordani, writer, journalist, politician and co-founder of Chiara Lubich’s Focolare Movement, is organized by Diocese of Tivoli and from the same Tivoli Focolare Movement and the theme of this edition was “Love for brother”.

The first and second prizes for the High School category were awarded for two short films accompanied by poems made by students Darie Catalin And Manuel Cerchi together with the whole fifth class C of the “Alessandro Volta” Institute of Tivoli.

For the Middle Schools category, the first prize was awarded toVincenzo Pacifici comprehensive institute of Villa Adriana.

Furthermore, a special mention was given to Delia Stanstudent of the class fifth D Computer Science of the “Alessandro Volta” Institute for the creation of a audiovideo.

Present at the presentation of the awards were: Bishop Monsignor Mauro Parmeggiani and the professor Alberto Lo Prestidirector of the Igino Giordani center.

“I am thrilled with the results – comments Professor Cristina Leoni, who coordinated the work – this award ceremony is important because the Competition is dedicated to Igino Giordani, a character from the city of Tivoli, and this constitutes an added value.
