Mobilization of security institutions within Parco Pitagora: intensified checks and restoration of video surveillance
Despite the criminal plan towards the social and cultural valorization project promoted within the Museum and Gardens of Pythagoras, the Jobel Consortium continues to receive support from the entire citizenry as well as from all the associations that immediately showed solidarity .
Great mobilization was also recorded among the institutions: on Friday 24 May, in fact, at the Prefecture of Crotone, a meeting coordinated by the vice-prefect Francesco Paolo D’Alessio was held, in which representatives of Jobel, the deputy mayor Sandro Cretella and the police forces represented by the Commander of the Carabinieri of Crotone, Raffaele Giovinazzo, by the police commissioner Marco Giambra and by the Commander of the Municipal Police, Francesco Iorno.
They jointly expressed concern about the escalation of arson attacks within Parco Pitagora, recognizing repeated criminal behavior that could lead to more serious consequences.
Therefore it was decided to strengthen the prevention and surveillance action of the police forces in the park, while the Municipality has already started the procedures for restoring the video surveillance system.
The Jobel Consortium expresses satisfaction for the response and support promptly received from the entire community, from representatives of the institutional and association world, demonstrating once again that strong and cohesive community action is the best response to delinquency and ignorance .
