“Piacentina Cineclub Day”: the competition awards ceremony begins

The final phase, that of the awards ceremony, of the “Piacentina Cineclub Day” video competition, promoted by Cineclub Piacenza Giulio Cattivilli in collaboration with Fedic, is scheduled for Sunday 26 May at 4pm at the CAI headquarters in Piacenza (Stradone Farnese, 39). The contest, now in its fourth edition, includes two sections of the competition, the first reserved for schools of all levels in the city and the province, which has as its theme “Nature: source of Life, Art and Culture”. The second, with a free theme, is aimed at members of the Cineclub Piacenza and members of Fedic (Italian Federation of Cineclubs).

The competition, whose coordinator is Fausto Frontini, benefits from the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, of the Region, the Regional School Office, the Municipality and the Province. The jurors of the “School” section are Angelo Manfredini, director of the Catholic University of Piacenza and Cremona, Franca Franchi and Alberto Dosi, advisors of the Ricci Oddi Gallery, Marco Stucchi, expert in computer systems and modern digital communications. The members of the second jury (Cineclub and Fedic members section) are Mario Magnelli, head of Art and Culture of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation, Piero Verani, president of Cinemaniaci, Paolo Ascagni President of Uilt (Italian Free Theater Union), Claudio Braghieri. The coordinator and contact person is Marilena Massarini. The president of the “Cattivilli” film club, Valter Sirosi, wanted to remember the following: “The synergy between institutions is crucial to enhance the educational experience of students, offering them new perspectives and tools for understanding the world around them. Visual art, through cinema and photography, not only entertains, but stimulates critical reflection, encouraging creativity and in-depth analysis of the topics covered”.
