Manciano (Grosseto). The Social and Youth Council of the Municipality of Manciano was activated, from February to May, with a project to help with studying and carrying out homework aimed at elementary school boys and girls. The objective was to offer a service to families and activate a space that does not represent a simple after-school club, but a place where they can experiment, get to know themselves and activate positive relationships.

The project was carried out in collaboration with the Manciano school complex, with the reference teachers, to ensure continuity between school and extra-curricular activities. Some volunteers have expressed their willingness to carry out this project: Angela Innocenti and Sofia Scalabrelli initially, but then, given the increase in enrollment with 41 students, they gave their contribution Bianca Pratesi, Silvia Fabiani and Valentina Mazzoli. Given the number of children, two groups were made on Wednesday afternoon.

May 29th the project is expected to close and a snack will be organised, where the children will have the opportunity to be together.

“This is a project that has grown over time and was possible thanks primarily to the support of the school, teachers and families, whom I thank for the trust they have placed in us. – explains the president of the Social Council -. Thanks to those who made all this possible: Angela, Sofia, Bianca, Valentina and Silvia, who without their patience and dedication would not have been possible to do more than 100 hours of lessons. The Council is already organizing itself for the next school year and the initiatives will be shared with the school director Francesca Iovenitti”.
