The RSA Germani is committed to assisting people of advanced age or with chronic neurological pathologies, first and foremost Alzheimer’s.

He explained how the dog has adapted to being a domestic companion and defense animal, but also how, thanks to its versatility, it is now increasingly present in social and healthcare activities. He mentioned the mountain and maritime rescue dogs, the dogs useful in searching for people in the event of misfortune, the dogs capable of alerting glycemic crises in diabetics, the therapeutic support dogs in neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s, and finally the guide dogs for the blind, which represent one of the main services of the Italian Lions.
