“The Government chaired by Giorgia Meloni has allocated almost one billion euros, coming from the Ministry of the Interior and the PNRR, for a vast intervention in Calabria”. The announcement comes from FdI senator Ernesto Rapani. “This funding is intended for a series of projects aimed at improving security and promoting economic and infrastructural development in the region. The investment, among the most significant ever made, is intended to solve critical problems and promote sustainable growth. The Ministry of the Interior has approved targeted projects covering a wide range of critical areas for Calabria, including security interventions, urban regeneration, infrastructure, energy efficiency, maintenance and much more. The Government’s intervention represents a significant step towards improving the quality of life of Calabrian citizens and promoting a safer and more prosperous environment.”

Senator Ernesto Rapani highlights “the importance of the investment, attributing credit to the strong representation of the Calabrian delegation and the constant commitment of the undersecretary Wanda Ferro, appointed with a specific delegation”. According to Rapani, “these funds are a recognition of the urgency and importance of improving infrastructure and security in the region. The allocated funds will be distributed among the various Calabrian provinces, with particular attention to the following sectors: safety interventions; urban regeneration; infrastructure; energy efficiency, public lighting network; rehabilitation works; sewerage and hydraulic network; sport facilities“.

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS BY PROVINCE

“Calabria – continues Rapani – will receive a total of 952,886,183.92 million euros, distributed according to the needs and priorities of each province:

Catanzaro: €144,152,602.54, Cosenza: €299,530,305.96, Crotone: €84,795,309.38, Reggio Calabria: €311,974,007.82, Vibo Valentia: €122,433,958.22. These funds were allocated to address specific needs and priorities identified by local governments, with the aim of improving the quality of life of residents and promoting the economic and social development of communities. Corigliano Rossano will benefit from an amount equal to €15,416,806.59″.

ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT

These investments will have an important impact on the Calabrian economy and society, said Sen. Rapani, favoring the creation of new jobs and stimulating economic growth through the implementation of infrastructure and urban development projects. Furthermore, they will improve the quality of life of citizens, making Calabria a more attractive place for investments and to live. The government and center-right parliamentarians in Calabria are committed to closely monitoring the implementation of these projects, ensuring that the funds are used effectively and transparently to maximize the benefits for the Calabrian population,” concludes Rapani.
