Parabiago (Milan), 23 June 2024 – Days spent in the oratory, between smiles and commitments. The passion for theatre. Then, a boundless love for motorcycle. This was Mattia Dattis, 20 years old, from Parabiagowho tragically passed away on Saturday evening in a car accident in Nerviano, in the Milan area.
The accident occurred shortly after 7.15pm at the intersection of Viale Kennedy and Via Ticino. For reasons yet to be clarified, the young man’s motorbike hit the right side of a BMW, finishing his run on a sidewalka few meters from wall of a condominium. Despite the timely intervention of the rescuers, who arrived with two ambulances and a medical car, there was nothing that could be done: Mattia was taken to the Legnano hospital and died shortly afterwards. Also there 51 year old woman while driving the car, she was admitted to the same emergency room.
Mattia was an animator oforatory of Santo Stefano and member of ‘Pischifralli’ theater company. Having graduated last year from the Cavalleri high school in Parabiago, he enrolled in the faculty of engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan. The country’s Facebook groups are full of greetings moved and incredulousi for Mattia. “An immense pain, a void that no one would have ever wanted. A boy full of energy, always available, present in every initiative of the oratory. May the Lord welcome you and give support to your parents and family”, writes a man. “It won’t be easy to enter the oratory and no longer hear your cheerful ‘Hello’. You were a boy who couldn’t help but love you, your big smile was for everyone”, adds another. “He was loved by everyone. A golden boy, well-liked and always available”, say those who knew him.
THE reliefs of the case were carried out by local police officers, who are now investigating the causes of the accident which led to the young man’s death.
