“Six wild boars killed by the regional police in the courtyard of the former Il Paguro kindergarten in via Nizza in Savona, after the young female killed in the Folconi gardens, still in the middle of the city! They once again accepted Mayor Russo’s invitation to ‘take action'”.
The attack is made by the Savonese Animalist Observatory (OSA) which adds: “Now he’s complaining, but what did he expect? Doesn’t he read the newspapers? It’s the umpteenth shooting carried out in the province after repeated requests from mayors like him: Alassio, Albisola Superiore, Albissola Mare, Cairo, Sassello, etc”.
“We instead thank the president of the Schiappapietra seaside resort who just yesterday, in declaring that the wild boars disturb his business, however asked to remove them in a bloodless way, as is done in a civilized country”.
Not even the appeal to the different female sensitivity, addressed in recent days by the OSA to the Savona municipal councilors, achieved results: “Now we ask the mayor, so quick to make useless ordinances (such as the ban on feeding wild boars in the city) to make another one just as quickly: ‘It is forbidden to shoot wildlife in the city. It is allowed to remove the animals only in a bloodless'”, conclude the association.
