The event organized by students of Enaip Domodossola was held on Tuesday afternoon to present the result of the project “Intergenerational Active Tourism”, written by Enaip Piemonte and financed by the Piedmont Region, for the implementation of interventions and initiatives related to the implementation of the active aging plan.

In fact, the project involved, on the one hand, Enaip students, who followed a training course on documentary writing, historical and archival research, and conducting an interview; on the other, a group of people over 60, who followed a computer and digital literacy course.

What the two groups have produced together is a series of interviews with historians, former smugglers and protagonists of the associations involved in the project: the narratives obtained have been digitized and can be used via QR codes along the Bevilacqua Brothers Pathwhich connects Masera with the Vigezzo Valley, in Arvogno.

The project presentation event was structured in two moments: in the historic deconsecrated church of S. Abbondio, in Masera, the main actors presented their work. First of all the teacher Enaip Danilo De Regibuscoordinator of the entire project, welcomed and introduced the mayor Norma Bianchi and the president of the Pro Loco APS Masera Arianna Giannini Tomà, local partners of the project who immediately welcomed the idea with enthusiasm. They also intervened Nori Bottapresident of APS Sentieri degli Spalloni, who shared with those present the love for the mountains and the territory that gave rise to the association, while the Enaip students recounted the steps that led to the realization of the interviews, a path that allowed them to learn about memories, stories and traditions of the area, which risked being forgotten, and which brought the new and old generations into contact. The spokeswoman was also enthusiastic Auser and the project managers of Enaip Piemonte, Francesca Costero and Enrica Mogliawho explained the process of the project, from genesis to implementation.

At a later stage the event moved to the Spallone Museum, where the typical “Spallone snack” was offered (black rye bread, local cheese and salami, honey) together with pleasant musical entertainment from the accordionist school of Beura, neighboring town. Here, thanks to the use of a viewer, it was possible to take a 360° virtual tour of the villages in the area, immersing oneself in the beauty of the area.

«This project was an opportunity for generations and cultures, traditions and innovations to meet – tells Alberto Lepri, from Enaip Domodossola – In recent months, young and old have discussed and collaborated and the result obtained is truly special: the stories that can now be heard along the Bevilacqua Brothers Path are a discovery that celebrates the history of our community».

Partners of the “Intergenerational active tourism” project are CGIL – SPI Novara and VCO, DomoMetraggi, APS Sentiero degli Spalloni, Auser Domodossola, Municipality of Toceno, Municipality of Masera, Associazione Pro Loco Masera APS.
