Futura Volley’s second starting spiker comes from far away, precisely from Texas. This is Alyssa Enneking, an American born in 1997, who arrives in Busto Arsizio after some championships played in Europe, between Cyprus and Portugal, where she was able to make herself stand out. The player originally from Houston attended Oklahoma University and in the four years spent with the Sooners she achieved important recognition.
In 2017, as a junior, she received AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, was selected to the All-Southwest First Team and named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. As a senior in 2018, the numbers spoke for her: best scorer in the NCAA – Big 12 Conference and 1,245 total points at the end of the season which earned her tenth place overall in the history of the University of Oklahoma,
Having then arrived in Europe, in the last year she divided her time between Sc Braga and Olimpiada Neapolis. From Portugal she took home the title of best attacker of the regular season; in the final part of the season she moved to Cyprus where she won the championship and the Cup. A targeted addition to Enneking, who presents herself as a player capable of guaranteeing balance, experience and character, given her skills as a leader and fighter. She is solid in reception, among her other characteristics the elevation, the great predisposition to work and a good variety of attacking shots stand out.

The words

Victory mission
“I have a fantastic team of agents who have worked hard to find an opportunity that we are now all very excited about. They believe in the Future and so do I! It is a club that fights for great objectives; We are aiming for a season that will lead us to reach new goals, collecting memories that will last a lifetime. I said yes to Futura because we have a mission to accomplish: victory!”.

Thanks Futura
“I know that many incredible players play in the Italian championship, supported by extraordinary fans: it is a reality in which I have always dreamed of playing and I am honored that Futura has given me this opportunity”.

Like a puzzle
“I can’t read the future but I can promise that I will give my all for Futura Volley, making sure that all the pieces of the season end up in the right place. I play volleyball because I love this sport and appreciate the extraordinary places it takes me to live. Who knows, along the way I might be able to put down roots…”.

Mom is always right
“I can’t wait to get started, I love a big challenge and I think my mum would agree! She tells me that she couldn’t hold me down as a child because I always wanted to try new things and push myself to learn and grow. I believe that this quality of mine has remained constant over the years because I have not yet found a way to say no to a challenge.”

On and off the pitch
“Alyssa is passionate, competitive, resilient as a player. Off the field Alyssa is an independent, analytical, adventurous girl.”

The lessons of sport
“Where can I grow? A question that has a million answers. As athletes we do a job where constant perfection does not exist. Every aspect of my game has room for growth but the one I try to worry about the most is the mental part. One day, in the distant future, my ability to play sports will decline, but the lessons I learn each year will stay with me forever.”

Alyssa’s brick
“Everyone says my energy on the pitch is contagious and I intend to give it my all every day! I will also bring my professionalism to Futura and offer my talent in any way the coach deems appropriate.”

Italy is… family
“I have never been to Italy, although I have always wanted to. My first time will be as part of the Futura family and I am excited to get to know your beautiful and historic country!”.

Mental coach
“I like being active and spending time outdoors. I love beaches, especially those of the Mediterranean, excursions and animals. I like to train and take care of myself. I am passionate, in particular, about mental health; I strive to be my best, and when I’m not at my best, I try to learn, grow, and ultimately appreciate the struggle.”

AAA
My family is spread across the United States and is made up of independent, successful people with diverse lifestyles. I’m currently the only member of my extended family living outside of America, so I think Busto Arsizio will get a lot of visitors this year. We are all great lovers of pizza and pasta, which Italians do best! It will be my duty to find the best places to take my family when they come to visit me: any suggestions will be appreciated!”.

Greece, America… home!
“I will spend time in Athens and nearby islands enjoying the beautiful Greek beaches before returning to America and staying with my family for some time. However, I hope to be able to get to Italy before the season starts to start discovering it and getting to know the beautiful place that I will call home for a while!”.
