The Puglia Regional Commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Division General Fabrizio Toscano, visited the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Taranto, based in the complex named after Brigadier Lorenzo Greco, Silver Medal for Military Valor.
The regional Authority, on which all the departments of the Apulian Financial Police depend, welcomed by the Provincial Commander of Taranto, Col. Massimiliano Tibollo, met with the representatives of the personnel in service, as well as the delegates of the Sections of the National Association of Financiers of ‘Italy of Taranto and Martina Franca.
During the subsequent operational briefing, in which the Commanders of the Corps Departments of the Ionian province participated, the most important operational activities underway were analysed, as well as the logistical initiatives implemented and planned to further improve the working environments and to ensure the well-being of staff.
At the end of the visit, Major General Fabrizio Toscano expressed words of appreciation for the commitment made by the financiers of the Provincial Command of Taranto in carrying out the multiple and complex institutional tasks assigned to them.
Finally, the Authority urged the Fiamme Gialle of Taranto to continue to make maximum efforts to combat tax evasion and fraud in the field of public spending, as well as to attack illicit assets accumulated by common and organized crime, underlining how the role of the Guardia di Finanza is essential to ensure the economic and financial security of the country, to protect the market, businesses and operators who respect the rules.
