D1 SERIES

The men’s Carpi Sport, second in their group, will make their debut in the direct elimination draw on Sunday 26 May in what is effectively a semi-final: the Bolognese team of coach Pontelungo will arrive on the pitches in Via Marx (from 9am). Whoever wins will challenge Tennis Viserba with a place in Serie C up for grabs. One step, that of the final for promotion, to which the girls from the same municipal club have already reached by right: Rebecca Pedrazzi and her teammates will play the C on Sunday 26th ( from 2.30pm) on home pitches in the derby with Meridiana.

D2 SERIES

Sporting’s journey begins on the right foot (in the second photo)victorious 4-1 over Virtus Bologna thanks to Lorenzo Martinelli, Jacopo Severi, Leonardo Martinelli and double Silingardi-Martinelli. The defeat in the third set was painless Enrico Saltini.

D3 SERIES

On Sunday 26th the scoreboard starts with the direct elimination quarter-finals which offers promotion to D2 through mini sub-tables. Club 33 is on stage on the courts of Ct Castenaso, Club Giardino A hosts Tc Sorbolo, Giardino B hosts Tennis Viserba, while Sporting B visits the Piacenza team of Tennuoto San Nicolò. In the playouts instead, Sporting A hosts Tc Loschi: the winner remains in D3, the loser is relegated to D4. Among the women, Sporting debuts in the round of 16 of the playoffs at the Reggio Emilia coach, Giardino in the Rio Saliceto derby, Aneser on their home courts against Tennis Medicina, while Rinascita at the Villanova Country Club in Bologna.

D4 SERIES

The D4 also started on Sunday 19th with six teams from Carpi at the starting line. Winning debut for Rinascita Budrione (in the third photo)dragged to 2-1 over Tc San Felice B by Mario Chiancone and from double Ciriello-Stefano Casolari (victorious 10/5 in the third set after a marathon that saw them ahead 7/6 and back 5/7). In the same group, Giardino B also smiles, which with Arturo Bacchelli And Leonardo Paluan conquers Sporting Sassuolo and on Sunday 26th they face Rinascita in an already decisive derby. The two Carpi Sport teams also won: A (in the fourth photo) beats Meridiana 3-0 with Riccardo Vecchi, Nicolò Andreoli and the same in doubles, while B knocks out Libertas Fiorano with the same result (scored Stefano Malagoli, Andrea Marchetti And Marchi-Storchi). Giardino A lost 3-0 in Castelfranco instead.

YOUNG

Club Giardino paid dearly for the knockout in the direct clash with Casatorre for first place in the Under 18 group, remaining out of the draw as well as Carpi Sport, for whom the victory on the last day on the Mmta pitches was not enough (0 -3, Alessandro Pavarotti, Davide Davoli And Elvezzi-Retinò). Therefore only Sporting goes to the scoreboard Alessandro Venuta, Gianmarco De Pietri And Diego Marianeschi: exempted by the Fitp Youth Commission from participating in the group stage, the young Carpi players host Club Atletico Faenza for the quarter-finals on Saturday 1 June.

Club Giardino and Sporting hosted the macro-area phase of the Provincial Cup over the weekend of 18-19 May (in the fifth photo), in which the Ravenna team prevailed. Emilia Romagna will therefore be represented by two teams at the Italian Championships, given that Modena, the reigning champion, will also be among the eight finalists.

TOURNAMENTS

Another smile for Carpi Sport from its young people: Simone Sgarbi (in the first photo) wins the Open under coach Vittorino da Feltre di Piacenza. In the final, the 2.8 from Carpi defeated the 3.2 of the Club 30 Pari of Lodi Augusto Pagani with a double 6/3. In the same tournament, out in the round of 16 Gabriele Rodella of Sporting.
