Not only will the coaching staff change, there will also be a lot to tweak in the roster ahead of next season

The current Serie A Elite season for Rovigo did not end as hoped, mostly because it is already over. The goal of reaching the championship final on June 2nd seemed possible, especially given how the semi-final with Petrarca was going. But in the final minutes it was the Paduans who prevailed, thanks to the strength in the scrum and the foot of Lyle who put in the free kick for the definitive advantage.

A season which therefore ended earlier than expected for Rovigo, who will not be able to defend the title of Italian champion. But for several players and staff the end of this year also marks the end of their experience in the rossoblù.

One of these has already been announced: the farewell of head coach Alessandro Lodi, whose void will most likely be filled with an internal solution. The main suspect, as reported in recent days, is Davide Giazzon, with Joe van Niekerk and Stefan Basson as assistants at his side.

But it is in the roster that the farewells multiply: second the Voice of Rovigo, this was Edoardo Lubian’s last season as a player for Rovigo. However, the third line will remain in the rossoblù environment as he will continue to coach in the youth sector.

The newspaper from Rovigo also indicates as certain several farewells which in recent days had been reported as probable: certainly for Jacob Atkins, a player who made a good impression in the Serie A Elite season but who had to give up the most delicate moment of the season due to of a hand injury, thus ending his Italian experience.

Leonardo Sarto, Luca Sperandio and Edoardo Ferraro will also say goodbye to Rovigo; instead the Chilean front line Vittorio Lastra Masotti and the Argentine playmaker Ignacio Dogliani with a certain probability should remain in the rossoblù.
