TRANI – It will be theart produced by local artists, the protagonist of the first artistic event designed to support the many fragile people and families who live in poverty in the Bat area.

Is called Art Supportive the first edition of an exhibition with fundraising auction promoted byHorizons Associationin the field for over 16 years to combat food and health poverty, and the “L’Ebanista” Association of Trani: an original formula in which pictorial, sculptural and photographic works by local artists will be concretely transformed into real food for needy families.

The event, scheduled for 6, 7 and 8 June at the Ronchi Hall of the “Giovanni Bovio” Library of Trani, is the result of collaboration with the Trani-Bisceglie Planning Office of the Department for the Third Sector and the Municipality of Trani.

The works donated by the authors will be exhibited to the public through an exhibition followed by an auction supportive(which will take place from 5.00pm to 7.00pm on 8 June): the proceeds paid by the successful tenderers will go to the Orizzonti Association to support families living in poverty with basic food items.

The evocative setting of one of the most beautiful cultural containers of the City of Trani will host an artistic event also designed for the promotion of local authors united in a supportive towards vulnerable people. The exhibition and the final auction of the paintings, sculptures and photographic works donated by the authors will support a very high moral aim which, with the fundraising, constitutes a sign of attention towards the poor of the city.

«Our mission has always been to support people living in vulnerable conditions – explains the President of the Orizzonti Association Angelo Guarrielloso that they can improve the living conditions of their families and their active reintegration into the community. Our programs also support vulnerable families with children under 6. We mobilize our human resources through the support of food and non-food items of basic necessity, to reach a greater number of people and amplify the impact of solidarity initiatives. We are an open network and we collaborate with bodies, organizations and foundations that share our objectives through donations of food goods and other items useful for the primary needs of poor families”.
