One of our favorites is linked to the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi, who crossed the still wild lands of the Marche region to Ascoli Piceno to bring his word.

Franciscan Way of the Marca

The Franciscan Way of the Marche runs through Umbria and the Marche traces of Saint Francis of Assisi. It is one of the least known and most beautiful paths in Italy: it crosses fords, uncontaminated areas with low tourist impact.

You will discover the woods, countryside and hills of the province of Ascoli Piceno walking on dirt roads (40% of the route) or low-traffic roads in a wild and beautiful area.

Camino Terre Mutate

The Cammino delle Terre Mutate is a route that crosses the places in central Italy affected by the 2016 earthquake.

From Fabriano to L’Aquila, you travel 200 km between Marche, Umbria, Lazio and Abruzzo.

The walk is a complete immersion in nature that moves in close contact with the populations affected by the earthquake.

Lazio Marche

An alternative to Lazio – Marche coast to coast is the path that from Ancona arrives in Tuscany, in Orbetello, passing through Lazio. It measures 409 km which can be divided into 18 stages.

From Ancona you enter Umbria at Nocera Umbra. From here the path leads to Assisi, Gualdo, Todi and Orvieto, up to Lazio and Lake Bracciano. The last stretch is the Maremma one, with final destination Orbetello

Walk of the Gothic Line

The Walk on the Gothic Line is almost 500 km long and connects Cinquale (MS) to Montecchio (PU), for a total of 26 stages.

The path passes through places of great naturalistic and historical interest. The Gothic Line affected an extensive band of territory (15 to 40 km wide), therefore, within it it is possible to identify more than one trace of a path.

The Walk touches both the heart of the Gothic Line (where the fortifications were built and the Germans and Allies clashed) and the places where women and men of the Resistance, often sacrificing their lives, fought against the occupiers and laid the moral foundations of Italy republican.

The Cammino dei Cappuccini is a historical itinerary that crosses the Marche and traces the birth and history of the Franciscan reform of the 16th century. The route covers almost 400 km and is divided into 17 stages starting from Fossombrone and arriving in Ascoli Piceno.

Along the way you pass through enchanting villages and incredible natural landscapes. You can divide the route into two or three parts, depending on your personal needs.

The route of the Great Ring of Borghi Ascolani is a 100 km circular itinerary divided into seven stages that crosses the Ascoli hinterland and winds through magnificent hilltop villages at the foot of the Ceresa, Gemelli, Sibillini and Laga Mountains.

The route follows the ancient defensive apparatus of the medieval state of Ascoli, which had 32 castles under its jurisdiction. The seven stages of the route are: from Ascoli Piceno to Venarotta, from Venarotta to Ficocchia, from Ficocchia to Abetito, from Abetito to Forcella, from Forcella to Valledacqua, from Valledacqua to Coperso and from Coperso to Ascoli Piceno.
