“I will register the team for the championship”

The president of Messina Pietro Sciotto speaks again, through an open letter addressed to the city to clarify the corporate situation of the Peloritan club: “For the unconditional love I feel for ACR and in order to exclude any possible misunderstanding, I inform you that the team will be regularly registered in the next Serie C championship. The company is actively working on the complex procedures regarding the documentation necessary for participation in the 2024/2025 championship. Registration is considered a priority compared to the necessary planning that will follow once formalized. The appropriate discussions have already been initiated. with the sporting director Domenico Roma and the coach Giacomo Modica, as well as for the reorganization of the club staff and for the pre-season retreat. Undoubtedly my health problems, which should be private and confidential but which, inevitably, affect every single one action, combined with the bitterness at the protest of a part of the fans, certainly do not help to calmly conduct the work of planning and overcoming the critical issues”. In reference to potential offers, such as the alleged one of 2.5 million euros circulated in the last few hours, as highlighted by La Gazzetta del Sud, the top Giallorossi manager has made it known that he is “immediately willing to formalize the transfer of quotas” to this fixed price. “I reiterate, however, that no purchase offer was addressed to ACR Messina”.
