Work at the market, opening of the food sector postponed after inspection by Nas and ASL

The Municipality intervenes on the market to remedy the shortcomings detected by the Local Health Authority and Nas for the food sector, but the opening is still delayed. This morning the NAS soldiers and the ASL managers, together with the municipal technicians and the presidents of Anva Confesercenti, Sebastiano Bernardo, and of the Confimprese street vendors, Giuseppe Magliocca, carried out an inspection in the fair area of via Ruta in Caserta to verify compliance with the imposed requirements and proceed with the release of the area from seizure, which has been under lock and key since February.

During the inspection, ASL and NAS verified that some critical issues remained unresolved, preventing the resumption of sales for the food sector. Among the problems encountered were: the absence of a ramp for disabled people to access the toilets; the absence of mouse traps; the lack of a delimitation – with the installation of new jersey – which separates the food sector from the non-food sector (which has remained open in recent months). The need to cut weeds behind the food sector and to supply the area with electricity was also noted, although the connection had not been completed.

Requirements that the Municipality has undertaken to resolve in a short time but which make it impossible to open the food sector, which has been closed since February, on Saturday 18 May. A new inspection will take place at the beginning of next week. “The operators who lose another day of work always pay – comments Sebastiano Bernardo of Anva – These are small interventions and we hope that by Wednesday we will be able to put this bad period behind us”.
